SOP Offers Professional Event Management Services for associations or charities interested in conducting 5K Run/Walks

Typical event management services include:

  • Measure and mark running course (preferred Indianapolis course, the downtown canal)
  • Purchase all supplies for rest & recovery food and drink
  • Secure all needed permits with the City of Indianapolis and White River Parkway
  • Obtain course/street approval from Indianapolis Police and other authorities (if needed)
  • Manage all registration, participant data, timing & scoring and a post-race scoring recap
  • Order bib numbers and safety pins
  • Prepare participant final instruction sheet
  • Obtain medical personnel for event day (if requested)
  • Coordinate all race logistics mile markers, finish line equipment, rest & recovery area and post race food and drink
  • Label and assign participants numbers to allow proper scoring
  • Provide an Event Time Line, Race Day Schedule and Emergency Plan
  • Provide a list of all needed equipment (i.e. tables, chairs, etc.)
  • Provide volunteer requirements (directional sentries, registration & packet pick-up timers, finish line, etc.) and their locations
  • Coordinate start of race
  • Provide all traffic cones
  • Provide raceday map for participants
  • Provide all finish line equipment (chute, display clock, timers, stringers, etc)
  • Provide cups for rest & recovery
  • All equipment for rest & recovery (knives, napkins, table covering, etc)
